About
NaturVision Film Festival
Celebrating nature, wildlife, the environment, and sustainability, NaturVision, Germany’s longest-running nature film festival, captivates audiences for four days. By showcasing powerful and absorbing nature and wildlife films on the big screen, NaturVision allows viewers to delve into unfamiliar realms, gain knowledge, and discover the interconnectedness and impacts within the natural world. It aims to inspire and raise awareness about nature and the environment, while also providing a platform for both big productions and hidden cinematic gems.
Unforgettable visuals, emotional moments, and crucial information define NaturVision as the premier film festival for nature and the environment. Each year, the international film competition presents the latest films on nature, wildlife, and the environment, with prestigious awards recognizing the best among them. NaturVision not only brings the captivating beauty of nature to the big screen but also highlights the vulnerability of our world and explores promising solutions for environmental challenges. It stands as a testament to the art of filmmaking, sustainability, and the pursuit of a sustainable future.
Originating in Neuschönau in the Bavarian Forest in 2002, the festival found its new home in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, in 2012. The Central Theater Ludwigsburg serves as the festival’s venue.
Since 2014, NaturVision has expanded its offerings to include a free open-air cinema, a market featuring regional and sustainable vendors, and a science slam, enhancing its commitment to fostering a deeper connection with nature and promoting sustainability.
